On July 3rd, 2013, the 150th Anniversary of the death of Jennie Wade, the tragic story of the only civilian to die during the battle of Gettysburg will be told by the “Ghosts” of those who were closest to Jennie in life and death. The evening will begin with the story of her death as told by her mother Mary who was an eyewitness to the tragic death. Next you will be escorted by Captain Emil Koenig of the 58th NY Infantry Unit through the home as he remembers the anxious and desperate moments. You will happen upon Jennies Father who will take you to the cellar explain the difficulty the family went through with the loss of his daughter and the uncertainty of the battle outside. As the tour draws to an end don’t be surprised to find one last character lurking in the shadows…
This 1 hour dramatic presentation is currently scheduled for 3 showings only. 7 PM, 9 PM & 10 PM on July 3rd, 2013 and is expected to sell out as group size will be limited. It is highly recommended that tickets be purchased in advance.
