Dedication Event

9:30 am    Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Soldiers’ National Monument, Soldiers’ National Cemetery

10:00 am 146th Anniversary of the Gettysburg Address: Dedication Day Ceremony, Soldiers’ National Cemetery Rostrum.  Speakers will include Governor Edward G. Rendell and Academy Award-winning actor, Richard Dreyfuss.

Performances by “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band

• Lincoln portrayer Jim Getty recites the Gettysburg Address
• Naturalization ceremony presented by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, hosted by the National Park Service

The Dedication Day Ceremony is sponsored by the Lincoln Fellowship of Pennsylvania, the Civil War Institute at Gettysburg College and the Gettysburg National Military Park. (Rain location for Dedication Day Ceremony is Christ Chapel at Gettysburg College)
