More than 250 theater operators, performing artists, arts educators and administrators are expected to gather in Gettysburg from throughout PA, NJ, DE, MD and NY for three days of educational sessions, performances, celebrations, and tours. This annual conference moves to a different venue each year to showcase leading art communities and theaters.
Highlight's of this years conference include an opening night reception at the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Visitors Center, a keynote speech by James Getty titled, "How the Arts Inspired the Private and Public Life of Abraham Lincoln", and a presentation "Thriving in an Uncertain World" by national theater expert, Ken Foster from San Francisco.
The general public is welcome to attend the conference's free artist showcases which feature a diverse line-up of performers in 20-minute presentations. The showcases will be held in the Majestic Theater on June 9th from 9pm-11pm and June 10th from 8:30pm-11pm.
